Amazon Indiahas finally launched the second-generation Kindle Paperwhite ebook reader in India. Amazon says the new product has a higher contrast display which will improve the users reading experience. The internet giant adds that the new display makes pages “indistinguishable from paper”.

“Kindle is the best-selling e-reader in the world for six years running, and now it’s even better,” Amit Agarwal, vice president and country manager, Amazon India, said.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-book reader is available for Rs 10,999 for the WiFi variant and Rs 13,999 for the 3G model. These variants are available for pre-order on Amazon. in and shipping will begin on February 4 according to the site. Kindle Paperwhite will be launched across 250 retail outlets in India.
